Trainee Coach Builder / Body Repair Specialist

Starting pay is £12.21 per hour with a basic contract of 40 hours per week.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for an enthusiastic trainee body repair technician to help keep our fleet of modern vehicles looking their best on the road. You’ll be a quick learner with a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic and a real team player. Ideally, you’ll have at least a car licence. As part of your training programme, we can support you to gain your PSV (bus) driving licence.
Key responsibilities
The role’s main focus is to assist in maintaining a varied fleet of vehicles with a fixed first-time policy. You’ll have the opportunity to complete various jobs, from changing a wing mirror to repairing major structural damage caused by RTA. Some of your key areas of learning will include…
- Manufacturing and fitting body panels
- Replacing and repairing interior fixings such as seats, hand poles and wheelchair ramps
- Replacing lino-covered plywood flooring
- Window replacement
- Welding repairs to vehicle structure
- Working safely at all times in adherence to company standards
